Why Slovenia? Because of its size and location in the heart of Europe, Slovenia holds a unique position in the culinary world.  In a country where borders can be reached in less than four hours, all food is local.  On the territory of Slovenia itself, the 2nd most forested country in Europe, Mother Nature has created a wide variety of dramatic landscapes and climates, which vary dramatically within short distances.  Alpine peaks, sea coast, plains, plateaus, rivers, lakes, thermal springs, and caves, create a variety of terroirs giving life to unique culinary flavors, tastes and smells, which artisans bring to the table through traditional methods. Culinary flavors, methods, and styles, blending back and forth between neighboring countries, and from past empires, are noted in native dishes. Taste Slovenia- Taste Europe.

Please contact Sylvia Onusic, at sponusic128@yahoo.com for details on payment. Deposit of $500 latest by April 20 and the remainder due by May 20.
