With the new culinary project, ‘Open Kitchen, ” launched at the Ljubljana Central Market in mid-May, Slovenia is becoming an important European venue for tourists seeking local and natural foods and outstanding dining opportunities.
The Open Kitchen features more than 50 Slovenian and foreign restaurants, master chefs and caterers. Through October, visitors will be able to taste culinary creations and witness how they are made.
The “Open Kitchen” showcases the large Open-Air Market as a place to taste interesting dishes and gives restaurants, caterers and chefs the opportunity to present
themselves to the public and build their reputations.
Culinary specialties will include dishes from Slovenia’s many regions. “But our most important goal,” says project manager, Lior Kochavy, “is to expand the Slovenian food culture and create a place where families, friends and business partners can enjoy a wide range of culinary specialities.” This project places Ljubljana as an important center of Slovenian gastronomy.
The Open Kitchen will operate every Friday through October from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.
